🚀 If this is your first time using eToro
- Open your account on the eToro website or app and complete the identity check.
- Practise with the virtual portfolio: you have it from the start and can switch between virtual and real from the menu.
- Add money to the real account with «Deposit Funds».
- Look up the stocks and add them to your watchlist so you can find them quickly.
- Do a full test on the demo: buy a small quantity with its SL, raise it to your entry price and close it, following the steps below. When you can do it without hesitating, move to the real account.
Initial setup
- Without leverage (x1) you buy the share; with leverage, it's a CFD.
- eToro asks for an amount instead of shares: multiply the shares the calculator gives you by the price.
🟢 BUY
- Find the stock and tap «Trade».
- Enter the amount and, in «Stop Loss», enter the signal's SL price.
- Tap «Open trade».
🔵 RAISE SL
- In «Portfolio», open the position and edit the Stop Loss.
- Enter your entry price and save.
🔴 CLOSE
- In «Portfolio», tap the cross (×) on the position and confirm closing it.
- The SL is attached to the position: when you close it, the SL disappears on its own.
